The Project
This coffee was sourced from SNAP Specialty Coffee, founded in 2008 by Negusse Debela in Addis Ababa. SNAP operates three washing stations in the Gedeo Zone and partners with additional stations in Guji and West Arsi.

Guji is a zone in Ethiopia's Oromia Region, home primarily to the Oromo people who speak the Oromo language, distinct from Ethiopia's main language, Amharic. Like other coffee-growing regions in the country, Guji's culture varies across its districts, reflecting the diverse communities involved in coffee cultivation.

To meet the growing demand for improved coffee processing, more small washing stations are being established in Guji, ensuring the full range of flavors that Ethiopian coffee is known for. The zone's main freshwater source is the Ganale Dorya River, which forms its eastern border with the Bale Zone.

The Coffee
This coffee was produced by smallholder producers living in the Raro Boda kebele of the Uraga woreda in Ethiopia’s Guji zone. Ripe cherries were delivered by more than 700 producers to the washing station.

Local farmers grow landrace and locally selected varieties. Cherries are manually harvested before being delivered to the washing station.
This lot underwent traditional natural processing.
